Creative Play Therapy
Children and young people often express themselves best through creativity and play. In creative play and art therapy, I offer a warm, nurturing space where they can explore their feelings, make sense of their experiences, and build emotional resilience in a way that feels natural and safe.

My approach
I work with children (aged 8 and above), teenagers, and young adults, using an integrative and holistic approach that combines play, art, and talking therapy. All sessions are face-to-face in the Therapy Studio in Shoreham-by-Sea. Sessions may involve toys, board games, creative materials, books, and therapeutic workbooks. The creative process offers a reflective and instinctive way to express feelings and experiences beyond words. There’s no need for artistic skill, simply a willingness to explore.
We can move freely between these tools and conversation, depending on what feels right in the moment. Together, we explore what’s happening for them, helping to build understanding, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.
Experience
My approach is shaped by over a decade of experience as a secondary school teacher and my work in a primary school with Place2Be, supporting children and young people with a wide range of emotional and social needs. This background helps me connect with young people in a way that feels familiar and grounded, while drawing on both educational and therapeutic understanding to meet their individual needs.
I hold a current and up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professional integrity in my work.
